The Montréal Science Centre and L’île du savoir Launch a New Website for their program Éclairs de Sciences, Entirely developed by Web Agency multiple-media.com

multiple-media.com completely revamped the website, with a new design, new programming and a new information structure. “One of the objectives of the project was to revisit the information layout and the navigation structure in order to make it easier for the core clientele–grade level teachers–to gather information”, said Renato Cudicio, president of multiple media.com.

The Éclairs de sciences team took advantage of the rebuild project to make the website more interactive and more focused on active learning. “We are happy to share our new site with teachers and other program participants. The new online content is the result of several discussions with them,” said Roger Roy, who is in charge of the Éclairs de sciences project.

multiple-media.com built the website with MMCM-CMS, its powerful content manager. Entirely developed by multiple-media.com, MMCM is a suite of online marketing and content management tools for websites, blogs, and email campaigns.

Éclairs de sciences
Éclairs de sciences is a project developed by L’île du savoir (an initiative of the CRÉ de Montréal, a body of Montreal municipal elected representatives) and carried out since 2006 by the Montréal Science Centre. The project aims to provide grade level teachers with free tools and structured support services to help them become more self-reliant and make science learning more exciting. Based on the integration of active learning in science programs, the project comprises four specific sections: educational support, scientific support, a website, and a series of scientific activities. Éclairs de sciences is part of a professional development approach in several school boards on the Island of Montreal.
