Gazelles’ Rally: The Intact Insurance Team Gears Up For the 20th Edition and Launches a Blog Created by multiple-media.com

Manon Robinson and Martine Coulombe announced today that they will run in the 20th Edition of the Gazelles’ Rally...

...in Africa, from March 13 to March 27, 2010, under a new name, “Gazelles Intact Insurance”. For this unique, 100% female automobile competition, in addition to Intact Insurance, these two Québécois Gazelles enjoy the support of several companies, one of which is which multiple-media.com, who developed the team’s entirely new blog, at http://www.gazellesintactinsurance.com.

In the driver’s seat is Manon Robinson, Team Manager at Intact Insurance’s Claims Department, while Martine Coulombe, a teacher by profession, is the navigator. The two team mates, who have undergone extensive preparation since 2008, are in great shape and ready to grab a choice position in this journey through the Moroccan desert. Canadians are invited to follow their progress–both as they gear up for the event and during the competition itself–and to encourage them with their comments.

“Our corporate blog solution is user-friendly enough for Manon and Martine to run it themselves and do their own updates,” said Renato Cudicio, president of multiple-media.com. “Even during the event, they will be able to post their entries by satellite phone or through a simple Internet connection.”

This sponsorship allows multiple-media.com to showcase MMCM-Blog, a reliable, flexible and user-friendly tool developed by the Montreal Web agency for businesses who want to incorporate a fully secure blog into their communication strategy and wish to manage it on their own.

The Gazelles’ Rally
Since 1990, thousands of amateurs and professionals of 33 nationalities, age 18 to 65, have taken to the Moroccan desert with various vehicles–4x4s, crossovers, quads, trucks, motor bikes–in this 100% female rally. This sports event aims at developing “a different version of automobile competition”, one that is entirely off-road, focuses on efficiency rather than speed, uses traditional navigation instruments, and is carried out in the respect of local populations and the environment in a spirit of mutual help and personal achievement. The Gazelles’ Rally is carboneutral and compensates for its C0² emissions since 2006.
